Are you interested in new roles in the NHS? Do you employ or have you considered introducing Assistant Practitioners (or equivalent roles) at band 4?Then we’d like to hear from you!

Skills for Health is carrying out research into the use of band 4 support staff – often called ‘Assistant’ or ‘Associate Practitioners’ – in the health sector. In particular we are interested in hearing from employers about your reasons for using – or not using – Assistant Practitioners. What has helped or hindered in introducing these roles and what the main outcomes have been of introducing these roles.

Would you be willing to talk to us about your experiences? If so, then you can help with this research.

  • you can come along to a half-day workshop in London (date to be confirmed) or
  • you can take part in a telephone interview (these will take place in the second half of October or early November).

If you’d like to get involved please contact our partners in this research, the Institute of Employment Studies us by emailing joy.williams@employment-studies.co.uk stating if you would like to attend the workshop or take part in a telephone interview.
