As the delegate of the Manager, Access and Patient Pulse Oximetry Flow and Executive Team the After Hours Hospital Manager (AHHM) is responsible for ensuring that systems and processes in place to ensure the safe delivery of timely patient treatment and care are enacted.
The AHHM is accountable for the on site management of the health service out of hours and is the first point of contact in coordinating a MH response to an emergency situation.
The AHHM is responsible for coordinating patient flow to facilitate patient access and meet demand in line with organisational KPI’s. This involves close liaison with all medical and nursing teams throughout the organisation to pro-actively ensure timely and appropriate bed allocation, admissions and discharges and the utilisation of beds and resources congruent with access policies.
